Biometric Signature System – LSMU Kaunas Clinic
The biometric signature system is integrated with patient forms, including data security assurances, consents for surgeries, and treatment procedures. This system can distinguish whether the signature was made with a finger or a digital pen by recording pressure and other parameters.
Upon signing the form, the signature is automatically applied to the completed form. This signing method transfers the biometric signature directly onto the digital form, which is easily accessible to both patients and doctors, eliminating the need for printing and scanning documents post-signature. The system's signals help confirm that the signature was made by the same person by recording data such as signing pressure and other biometric details.
Project Objective
The goal of this project is to ensure a high level of data security and provide a reliable and easy-to-use technology for LSMU Kaunas Clinics’ patients and doctors in signing applications and forms. By implementing the new biometric signature system, the aim is not only to modernize the signing process but also to improve the overall operational efficiency of the clinics, reducing administrative hurdles and ensuring high-quality services.
