Electronic Services Portal for the Lithuanian Road Administration
About the Portal
The electronic services portal has been developed to digitize and modernize the provision of administrative services to LAKD clients.
Functional Features
The portal allows clients to access various services, including:
- Obtaining permits for traffic restrictions on national roads during work activities.
- Getting permissions to use national roads with oversized and/or heavy vehicles.
- Acquiring permits for constructing driveways and coordinating cadastral measurements of land plots.
Users can also view their submitted requests, check their statuses, and pay for services directly through the website.
Technical Implementation
The project implementation considered necessary integrations with existing systems, including document management systems, geographic information systems, and the State Information Resources Interoperability Platform. Additionally, the portal's performance and security were ensured using secure protocols.
Design and User Interface
The portal's design follows best UX and UI practices to ensure an intuitive and comprehensible user interface.
Additional Services
The project included the preparation of testing scenarios agreed upon with the client, error logging, and correction using specialized software. Internal users were trained to use the portal through organized training sessions based on their areas of activity.
Project Results
The creation of the electronic services portal has optimized and digitized the company's processes, increased operational efficiency and transparency, and reduced administrative burdens. LAKD clients now have access to more convenient, easily accessible, and higher-quality services. The website was developed with personal data security requirements in mind, according to Lithuanian laws and GDPR.
