Tourist Tax Declaration and Payment System

The tourist tax declaration and payment system enables accommodation providers to declare the overnight stays they have provided and the tourist tax calculated on them, while municipal administrators can monitor, control and analyse the data submitted by all declarants.

The system brings declaration, payment and administration functions together in a single environment, reducing the need for manual data handling both for declarants and for municipal staff.

Declaration Submission and Payment

Accommodation providers or their representatives use the user environment to enter the number of overnight stays provided in a given tax period, broken down by concession category — children, persons with disabilities, patients, long-term rental, exemptions and Airbnb-type accommodation. Based on the applicable levy rate, the system automatically calculates the amount due and allows the declaration to be paid immediately within the system, with no separate payment channel required.

Property and Authorised Person Management

The declarant can manage every aspect of their accommodation property — register it and specify its name and address. Authorised persons can be assigned to each property, granting them the right to submit declarations on behalf of that property and so distribute responsibility among several employees or representatives.

Integration with the Licence Register

The system interacts with the licencijavimas.lt register, which supplies information on which persons or companies are required to submit tourist tax declarations under their business licence. The obligation to declare is therefore determined from official licensing data rather than by a manual decision of an administrator.

Administration and Reporting Module

Administrators have access to a summary of all submitted declarations, with filtering by period, owner, property, declaration status or type (legal entity, natural person, Airbnb). Each declaration record shows detailed information about the owner, contact details, the economic activity carried out and the payment status — the amount due, the amount paid and the outstanding balance.

Dynamic Declaration Calculation

As soon as the numbers of overnight stays are entered by concession category, the system recalculates the total number of stays provided and the levy amount due in real time, taking into account the rate set for the property.

Payment within the System

A declaration can be paid directly through the system, and the payment status (paid, partly paid, unpaid) is shown automatically on the declaration record and in the overall list.

Property Registration

The declarant can add new accommodation properties by specifying the name, address and other required details, which are then used automatically when completing new declarations.

Assignment of Authorised Persons

One or more authorised persons can be assigned to each property, granting them the right to submit and manage the declarations for that property.

Declaration Search and Filtering

Administrators can search for declarations by declaration number, tax period, property name, address, owner or declaration status, quickly locating the required record among a large volume of submissions.

Report Generation

The system can produce detailed and summary reports for a selected period, declarant type, owner or property, with the fields, counts and monetary amounts to be included chosen independently.

Monitoring of Late Declarations

A separate section tracks cases where a declaration was not submitted on time, helping administrators identify non-compliant entities.

Automatic Determination of the Obligation to Declare

Using data on business licences obtained from the licencijavimas.lt register, the system determines which persons or companies are required to submit tourist tax declarations, reducing the risk of error compared with manual checking.
