Integrated Information System for Lithuanian Forest Resources – ETA (Electronic Taxation Application)
The Integrated Information System of Lithuanian Forest Resources (LMIIS) has been developed; this mobile application allows for convenient and efficient forest inventory (taxation) directly from the site using mobile devices, even without an internet connection. The app operates offline, enabling data collection anywhere, even in the depths of the forest.
The collected inventory plot data is stored on the mobile device, and once an internet connection is available, the data can be transferred directly to the selected database with a single click. The application utilizes the "Relat" data rule correctness language (data logic and rules). This not only reduces the administrative burden but also ensures data security and traceability.
The goal of the project is to modernize the processes of forest resource accounting and management for the State Forest Enterprise, providing the ability to collect, manage, and analyze forest condition data more efficiently and conveniently. The mobile application is expected to improve the quality of forest management, optimize forest resource accounting, and reduce the likelihood of data entry errors.
This application not only facilitates the work of forest inventory officers but also contributes to the sustainable management of Lithuanian forests, helping to respond more quickly and effectively to forest changes and ensuring comprehensive and accurate information about the country's forests.
