Internet Speed Test Tool – Matuok.lt
The project is dedicated to updating and modernizing the internet speed test tool "matuok.lt" by implementing open-source technologies developed by the Austrian national regulator, RTR-NetTest. The project implementation includes the configuration, deployment, and adaptation of the measurement system’s hardware and software for the Lithuanian market.
Preparation of Physical and Virtual Servers:
- Deployment of a measurement server with a 10 Gb/s internet link at the Lithuanian Internet Exchange Point (IXP).
- Preparation of the management server, ensuring data processing and visualization functions.
Software Installation and Configuration:
- Measurement Server Software: Installation of the operating system (Linux), firewall configuration, and deployment/testing of RTR-NetTest components.
- Management Server Software: Installation of PostgreSQL databases, Nginx, Let’s Encrypt certificates, Tomcat, and other necessary components.
- Statistics and Map Visualization Tools: Display of measurement data on interactive maps and a statistics platform.
Mobile Applications (Android and iOS):
- Translation into Lithuanian, adaptation of the color scheme, and logo integration.
- Publishing applications on Google Play and the App Store.
- Performance testing and continuous support.
Open Source and Public Access: All software modifications and adaptations are publicly available in the RRT GitHub repository, complying with the requirements of the Apache-2.0 license.
