"Smiltynės perkėla" Mobile Application

The "Smiltynės perkėla" mobile application was developed to provide passengers with an even more convenient way to plan trips and purchase ferry tickets remotely. The integrated fast and secure ticketing system allows users to make purchases from anywhere at any time, avoiding waiting in lines.

In the new system, ticket activation happens automatically—during scanning at boarding—so users no longer need to worry about manual activation.

The application also provides the ability to:

• View ferry schedules in real-time;
• Review current prices and discounts;
• Directly monitor passenger and vehicle traffic flows at both ferry terminals;
• Use a virtual card, which can be topped up with a chosen amount.

After installing the app from the App Store or Google Play, users can log in to their account and immediately start using the new features. The solution ensures a seamless ticketing process, real-time information accessibility, and secure payments.

The project contributes to the digital expansion of AB "Smiltynės perkėla," aiming to modernize services and improve the overall customer experience.
